Baby grand pianos (typically 4\’5″ to 5\’8″ long) are the most common home grand piano. Popular for their fuller sound than uprights while fitting in more homes than concert grands. They weigh 500-700 pounds - lighter than concert grands but still requiring proper skid boards and leg removal.
Our crews use grand-piano specific equipment sized for baby grands. Legs come off carefully, piano tilts onto padded skid board, wrapped and strapped. Same precision as concert grand moves, scaled for the smaller instrument.
