Anthony Marchetti is the operations manager at Ready-To-Go Movers. Everyone on the crew calls him Tony.
Tony is a third-generation mover. His grandfather ran a small moving and storage outfit in Van Nuys in the 1970s, and Tony started riding along on jobs as a teenager. He took his first paid job as a helper at 19 and has been in the trade for over eighteen years.
He worked his way up through every role on the truck - helper, packer, driver, crew lead - before moving into dispatch and route planning.
Today Tony builds the plans behind the hard jobs: after-hours office relocations in Ventura County and Greater Los Angeles, upright and baby grand pianos, gun safes, gym equipment, and long-haul runs out to Texas, Arizona and Nevada. If a job needs a floor plan, a freight elevator reservation and a stair count before anyone touches a box, it lands on his desk.
Outside of work he restores old furniture in his garage in Simi Valley.
“If it can be planned, it can be moved without drama.”
